December 15, 1922 - April 14, 2015
Charles Russell was born in Holtville, California, in 1922, to Hiram and Thelma Russell.
He attended Buckeye High School. Charles married Ruby J. Nelson in Avondale, Arizona, on February 25, 1941. They lived in Arizona until 1959. He farmed peaches and worked for City Market until retirement. He was a World War II vet, spending his time in the Philippines.
Charles loved hunting, fishing, shooting, and was a long-time
member of the Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his son, Dan (Donna) Russell; daughter,
Ginnie (Randy) Leasure of Monument, Colorado; sisters, Mary Floyd of Phoenix, Arizona, and Dee Freed of Wickenburg, Arizona; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruby J. Russell and
brother, Buster L. Russell.
A visitation will be Tuesday, April 21st from 10:00 a.m. to
noon at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Military Honors and
Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial
Cemetery of Western Colorado.

Charles J. Russell, 92, Grand Junction, died April 14, 2015, at
Mesa Manor Care Center.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary Chapel. Interment will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Mr. Russell was a warehouseman in the grocery industry.
He is survived by one son, Dan of Grand Junction; one daughter, Ginnie L. Leasure of Monument; two sisters, Mary Floyd of Phoenix and Dee Freed of Wickenburg, Arizona; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
