TED LEA DIED TODAY.
E. E. (Ted) LEA passed away in Porter Hospital this morning, following a prolonged illness.
Mr. LEA has been in failing health for several months. Tuesday he was entered in the hospital for care.
He has held a respected place in the community for many years and is survived by his wife of Eagle; two daughters, Emily WEBB of Leadville and Dorothy COLLETT of Gypsum; and one brother William of Gypsum.
Funeral services will be in the Eagle Methodist church at 2 o'clock. Arrangements by Bowman Funeral Home.

Edward E. (Ted) LEA, resident of Eagle since 1920, passed away in Glenwood Springs March 25, following an illness of five years.
Mr. LEA was born in London, England. His sailor father, Richard Hiram LEA, died when the children were young, and in 1890 Ted came to the United States with his mother, Johanna; two sisters, Rose and Ada, and a brother, Charley to join an older brother, William, in the home of Mrs. LEA's sister in Leadville. The family then moved to Gypsum, where Mrs. LEA died in 1911.
Oct. 14, 1896, Ted LEA married Alice E. HALE, and to this couple were born two sons, who preceded him in death; and two daughters, Emily and Dorothy.
Mr. LEA was employed on the staff at the First National Bank in Eagle, and in 1920 moved his family from Gypsum to Eagle to make their home. In 1948 Mr. LEA suffered a severe heart attack, and his health has steadily failed since.
He is survived by his wife, Alice' two daughters, Emily WEBB of Leadville and Dorothy COLLETT of Range; sister, Rose Furrow of Denver and two brothers, William of Gypsum and Charles of Los Angeles and two granddaughters, Leota WEBB and Sonya COLLETT.
Funeral services were in the Methodist Church in Eagle Saturday afternoon by Rev. Delbert PAULSON and burial was in the family plot in Gypsum. Pallbearers were Alvin RULE, Leo FESSENDEN, George WHITE, Ira BINDLEY, Le Roy BORAH and Wm. STANLEY.
Bowman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
