Pearl Marie Monson, 75, Loma, died May 28, 2015, at Community
Hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. June 30 at New Elmwood Cemetery.
Ms. Monson was a cafeteria manager at Loma Elementary
School.
Survivors include two sons, Butch Dorscher and Clint Dorscher,
both of Loma; three daughters, Marleen Jenkins and Joleen Almond,
both of Fruita, and Darleen Dorscher of Loma; one sister,
Irene Kelsch of Bismark, North Dakota; 13 grandchildren; and 18
great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions to a charity of one’s choice.

Pearl Marie Monson passed
from this life peacefully on
May 28, 2015, at Community
Hospital in Grand Junction,
Colorado. She was
surrounded by her loving
family and friends. Pearl was
born to Lester and Elsie
Schwab on the family ranch in
Linton, North Dakota. She
moved to Loma, Colorado in
1970.
Pearl was retired from School District #51 where she was a
cook at Loma Elementary. She was involved in many different
clubs and enjoyed volunteering her time at the Fruita Welcome
Center. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the
hummingbirds.
Pearl leaves behind one sister, Irene Kelsch of Bismark, North
Dakota; five children, Marleen Jenkins of Fruita, CO; Butch
(Joyce) Dorscher of Loma, CO; Joleen (Kent) Almond of Fruita,
CO; Darleen Dorscher of Loma, CO, and Clint Dorscher of
Loma, CO; she is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 greatgrandchildren
and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one
daughter and two grandchildren.
A memorial service has been planned for June 30, 2015, 10:00
a.m. at New Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, CO.
