E. L. LAMAN.
E. L. (Dutch) LAMAN was born August 1, 1879 and died February 22, 1956 at the Kremmling Hospital following a heart attack.
Mr. LAMAN's parents died when he was a baby and he spent his early years with the RYAN and LAMBERT families in Denver. He first came to Routt county with the FIELDS family and later freighted from Hot Sulphur to McCoy, and drove a stagecoach from Wolcott to McCoy.
He was married to Pearl ORR at Yampa, September 27, 1903. The couple made their home at Yampa and Grand Valley before settling in the McCoy community in Eagle County. Mrs. LAMAN died December, 1953. Since her death, Mr. LAMAN made his home with his children. He was with his daughter, Annie HENRY at Radium when he became ill February 19. Two days later he was taken to the Kremmling hospital, and a heart attack February 22 was fatal.
Mr. LAMAN is survived by five sons and five daughters: Willie, Louis and Marvin of McCoy; Fred of Fraser and Robert of Modesto, Calif.;Beulah MILES, Modesto, Cal., Annie HENRY, Radium; Alice DANIELS, Riverbank, Calif., Hilda BAKER, Walden and Louis RAY, Toponas. Thirty grand children and fourteen great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at the McCoy Church Sunday, February 26 with Rev. CAYTON of Kremmling officiating. Cox Mortuary of Hot Sulphur was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the family plot in Yampa.
Soloist was Roy VAWTER accompanied by Jean VAWTER, both of Glenwood. Pall bearers were Bill JOHANNBROER, Charley RAY, Jack BOOCO, Chauncey MOOREHEAD, Hank ROBBINS and Mike BENEDICT.
