Ida L. Figurski McPherson, 86, Grand Junction, died April 19,
2015, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
A reception will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Garfield County, 602 Grand Ave. in Silt. Services and interment will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Clover Cemetery in Collbran.
Ms. McPherson was a retired teacher.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Heinrich of Phoenix and Jerilee Bussell of Cedaredge; two stepsons, Mick McPherson of Bainsdell, Oklahoma, and Gayle McPherson of Durango; one brother, Wayne Lorimor; five sisters, Avon Blakslee, Betty Clark, Ruth Barnes, Norma Dwyer and Dorothy Else; and 10 grandchildren.

Ida McPherson passed away April 19, 2015, from natural causes at the age of 86.
She was born in Collbran, CO, on April 16, 1929, to Claud and Mable Lorimor.
She grew up in Collbran and graduated from Collbran High School. She earned her BA and Masters in Education from Western State University in Gunnison, CO. Ida started her college education
while raising three children. She started teaching in Rifle and
continued to complete her college education during her summer breaks, finally earning a Bachelor’s degree and then her Master’s Degree. She taught fifth grade in Rifle and Silt for 26 years until her retirement in 1983.
She enjoyed needlework, reading, and camping. Ida married
Edwin "Bus" Figurski on December 28, 1946. He passed away December 1976. She married Warren McPherson on November 9, 1983, in Silt, CO. He passed away October 2012.
She is survived by sons, Mick (Pat) McPherson of Bainsdell,
OK, and Gale (Mary) McPherson of Durango; daughters, Linda (Scott) Heinrich of Phoenix, AZ, and Jerilee (Jerry) Bussell of Cedaredge, CO; brother, Wayne Lorimor of Grand Junction; sisters, Avon Blakeslee, Betty (Dariel) Clark, and Norma Dwyer all of Grand Junction; Ruth Barnes of Mesa, CO, and Dorothy (Ken) Else of Silt; ten grandchildren; and 26 greatgrandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husbands; son, Edwin Wayne Figurski; and brother, Raymond Lorimor.
Services will be April 27, 2015, at the 1st Baptist Church of
Garfield County, Silt, CO. Fellowship and reception will be
from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00, funeral service at 12:00, and
graveside service at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Clover Cemetery, Collbran, CO.
