Maybelle Davis, 91, Grand Junction, died April 22, 2015, at
Mantey Heights Care Center.
A visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Martin Mortuary. A funeral
service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary, followed by
a committal service at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Ms. Davis was a grocery store manager.
She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Jens and Joyce Butterbaugh, both of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Maybelle Davis
January 24, 1924 - April 22, 2015
Maybelle Davis passed away April 22, 2015, at the Mantey Heights Care Center, she was 91.
Maybelle was born on January 24, 1924, from the union of Albert and Isabelle Barker in Grand Junction, Colorado. She spent her childhood in the Pear Park area and graduated from Central High School. She was a grocery store manager for 30 years before retiring.
She married Robert Davis in Palisade, Colorado in 1941. He
preceded her in death on April 9, 2004, in Grand Junction.
Maybelle was a member of the Pear Park Baptist Church and
enjoyed gardening, camping and skiing at Lake Powell. Most
importantly was Maybelle’s love of her family and taking care
of them.
Maybelle leaves behind her daughters, Paulette (Bert) Jens and Joyce (Larry) Butterbaugh, both of Grand Junction, Colorado; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and five greatgreat- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother,Albert Barker Jr.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 24,
2015, at Martin Mortuary followed by a committal service at
Memorial Gardens Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6 -
8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Martin Mortuary.
