Lyle Clinton Ottosen, 68,
passed away at the VA Hospital
in Denver of multiple
health complications. He attended
schools in Mesa, Arizona
and Meeker, graduating
from Meeker High School in
1964.
He served his country from
1964 - 1966 in the US Army
serving in Germany and Vietnam.
He retired from Kennecott Coal in 2011.
He married Glenna McCormick, his eternal companion, May
23, 1968, in Rangely and sealed in the Denver Temple on July 8,
1988.
He served in numerous positions within the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints including the Vernal Temple. The
couple moved to Fruita in 2012. Lyle loved his family and
grandchildren. He also loved the outdoors, especially hunting,
fishing and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna; sons, Michael and wife, Tiffany,
grandchildren, Sheridan and Kobe, Silt; Larry and wife,
Laura, grandchildren, Sydney and Trystan, Thornton; sisters,
Shirley Fliegel, Vernal; JoAnn and Fred Findlay, Grand Junction,
and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death
by his parents, Byron and Vera, and brothers, Duane and Lavar.
Services will be held Saturday, March 14th in Meeker at 11:00
a.m. at the LDS Church. The viewing will be from 10 -11:00 a.
m.

Lyle Clinton Ottosen, 68, Fruita, died March 4, 2015.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Meeker LDS
Church in Meeker. A visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Meeker with military
honors by the American Legion and the Utah National Guard.
