Emma D. Richards, 93, Grand Junction, died April 24, 2015, at Grand Villa Assisted Living Center.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2542 G Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, followed by interment at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Smith of Box Elder, South Dakota, and Pat Smith of Grand Junction; three daughters, Bonnie Anstine of Cedaredge, Shirley Hawkins of Montrose and Vickie Banks of Granada Hills, California; one sister, Ruby Robbins of Hill City, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Emma Richards passed away on April 24, 2015, at Grand Villa Assisted Living Center.
She was born in Conde, SD, to Franklin and Mary Dimond. She spent her childhood in Rapid City, SD, and graduated from Rapid City Central High School in 1939. She was a long-time Grand Junction resident. She was a seamstress, cook, held various tourism management
positions, and broke all quotas at numerous assembly line
facilities.
Her interests included family history/genealogy, oil painting,
swimming, and crafts of all kinds. She loved sharing her gifts,
talents, and love with everyone she met. Emma was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Emma was married four times and her children were with the
first three husbands. She is survived by sons, Dan (Judy) Smith of Box Elder, SD, and Pat (Debbie) Smith of Grand Junction; daughters, Bonnie (Dee) Anstine of Cedaredge; Shirley (Terry) Hawkins of Montrose, and Vickie (Don) Banks of Granada Hills, CA; sister, Ruby Robbins of Hill City, SD; 17
grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and seven great-greatgrandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Lee Smith of Blanding, UT.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m., and a funeral
service will start at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2015, at
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 2542 G Road, Grand Junction, CO. At the conclusion of the service, interment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
