Jimmy R. Brannon, 72, Grand Junction, died April 25, 2015, at
his residence.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton.
Mr. Brannon was a project manager in the oil and gas industry.
He is survived by his wife Susan; a son Johhny R. of Houston,
Pennsylvania; a daughter Jody Jones of Fort Lupton; a brother
Charlie of Houston, Texas; a sister Charlotte Brannon of Dallas,
Texas; and two grandchildren.

Jimmy Ray Brannon
September 18, 1942 - April 25, 2015
Jimmy Ray Brannon, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday morning,
April 25, 2015. He went peacefully in his “Man Cave” with his wife, Susan, his dog, Clara, and his Holy Bible by his side. Jimmy was born on September 18, 1942, in Clovis New Mexico, to Reford and Opal Brannon who preceded him in death.
Jimmy attended high school at Kimball County High School in
Kimball, Nebraska. He graduated, president of his class, in
1960. He married Susan Graham Branham, his high school
sweetheart, and love of his life, on July 8, 1961.
Jimmy lived life bigger than most. He was a cowboy at heart.
He chased the dream and lived his life to the fullest. Jimmy
played football at Sterling Junior College in Sterling, CO.
Jimmy was a jack of all trades and a master of most! His
pursuits were many. He took tickets at a movie theatre, shoed
horses, raised quarter horses, roped calves and swabbed rigs.
Jimmy worked in the oil and gas industry most of his life. He
loved horses, a good cigar, country music, his family and God.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Graham Branham of Grand
Junction, Colorado; son and daughter in-law, Johnny and Anna Brannon of Houston, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Rick Jones of Fort Lupton, CO; grandson, Joel McKnight Mudd of Chicago, IL; granddaughter, Jacey Elizabeth Mudd of Erie, CO; son-in-law, John Mudd of Greeley, CO; brother and sisterin-law, Charles and Liz Brannon of Houston, TX; sister, Charlotte Harrell of Dallas, TX; sisters and brothers-in-law include Cindy Mae Bowker of Big Piney, WY; Sally and Larry Webb of Brighton, CO; Jim and the late Ann Marshall of
Hemphill, TX; Robert and Holly Branham of Torrington, WY;
13 nieces and nephews and more friends than anyone can count.
Jimmy never met a stranger and helped anyone in need.
Graveside services will be held at Hillside Cemetery in Ft.
Lupton, CO, on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m., which will
be his final resting place. As those who knew and loved Jimmy are assured, he is definitely with his Lord and Savior watching over us all.
