Richard John Heinsma
1946 - 2015
Richard John Heinsma, 68, was born May 1, 1946, in Artesia,
California, and passed away in Broomfield, Colorado, on April
24, 2015.
Richard was married to his high school sweetheart, Judith
(VanEssen), for 32 years; she passed away in June 2000.
Richard is survived by his daughter, Tamara, and sons, Scott,
Tom and Chad. He also had nine loving grandchildren, Tyler, Michael, Brodyn, Kaden, Katelyn, Courtney, Aubree, Liam and Logan.
He served in the Vietnam War through the Navy and earned
three medals for his service. He was Honorably Discharged on September 13, 1971. Richard worked various jobs as a carpenter and a glazier. He loved his family and friends. His interests were playing cards, playing the lottery, fishing, camping, golfing, and watching the Broncos and the Rockies.
Services will be held at Broomfield United Methodist Church
on Friday, May 1, 2015, at 11:00 a.m.
