McKenzie S. White

Tuesday, March 10, 2015,
after a brief illness.
Born July 24, 1994, in
Grand Junction, CO,
McKenzie is the youngest
daughter of Stephen and Mary
(Keeler) White.
McKenzie was very
nurturing and loving. She loved babies and animals. She was the
best babysitter in the family. At the age of five, she started
raising guinea pigs. She loved playing with her dogs and
helping around her grandparents’ farm.
McKenzie had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh that
was contagious. Her smile could brighten even the foulest of
moods. She could not go anywhere without meeting someone
she knew. She definitely blessed each person with whom she
came in contact.
A senior at Fruita Monument High School, she was active in
Special Olympics, participating in bowling, baseball, and skiing.
She has played in the Challenger Baseball League for several
years. Over the past few years she has represented the Ronald
McDonald House Charities at various fundraising events. She
was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter
Day Saints, attending various youth activities including pioneer
treks and weeklong girls’ camps.
McKenzie is survived by her parents, Stephen and Mary;
sisters, Amanda Young (Casey), Fort Collins, CO; Shiloh of
Grand Junction, CO, and Courtnie of Orem, UT; nieces, Lauren
and Millie; nephews, Brandon and Kollyn; grandparents, Jay
and Karen Keeler, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Her family would like to thank all the people who have helped
McKenzie on her journey, her medical team at The Children’s
Hospital, Denver, CO, doctors, nurses and various therapists in
Grand Junction, school staff, and the caring staff at HopeWest
Care Center.

LDS Chapel at 2542 G Road, Grand Junction. Visitation will be
from 9 - 10:00 a.m. with services immediately following.
