Glenda Dell Slogar
December 10, 1944 - June 30, 2015
Glenda D. Slogar passed away June 30, 2015, at the Delta County Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was 70.
Glenda was born on December 10, 1944, in Ranger, Texas from the union of Glen and Lillie P. Knight.
She spent her childhood in Ranger and moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1958. She graduated from Central High School and was a resident of Grand Junction until moving to Delta, Colorado 11 years ago.
She married Douglas F. Slogar on May 26, 1966, he survives.
Glenda was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in
Grand Junction and will always be remembered as a caregiver to everyone. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family, cooking and tending the flowers in her garden. Friends and family will always remember her words of wisdom, “There are no accidents, everything happens for a reason”.
Glenda leaves behind her husband of 49 years, Douglas Slogar of Delta, CO; son, Darren Slogar of Delta, CO; daughter, Ronda Slogar of Denver, CO; three grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lavoy
Knight and sister, Fern Black.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 3,
2015, at Martin Mortuary with burial to follow at New
Elmwood Cemetery in Fruita, CO.

Glenda Dell Slogar, 70, Delta, died June 30, 2015, at Delta County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Martin Mortuary followed by burial at New Elmwood Cemetery.
Ms. Slogar was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas; one son, Darren of Delta; one daughter, Ronda Slogar of Denver; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
