John Mathew RUDER, member of an early day Gore Creek family, died in the Glenwood hospital June 14, 1964 at the age of 76 years.
He was born to Jacob and Mary RUDER at St. Cloud, Minn. Dec. 3, 1887, coming to Eagle County at an early age.
He lived most of his life on Gore Creek, his home at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Edna. Their only child, Ralph, was killed in a trick accident on Battle Mountain December 1961.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a sister, Lena ELLIOTT of Gore Creek and three grandchildren.
Funeral sevices were conducted June 18 at the Assembly of God Church in Minturn and burial was in the Minturn cemetery.
The pallbearers were Leon GRANT, Robert LEICHTY, Ralph SHERBONDY, Dave WILLIAMS, Clem MORELAND, and Kenneth KING.
