Evelyn M. Stansberry, 87, Fruita, died June 2, 2015, at The
Oaks in Fruita.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Martin Mortuary.
Ms. Stansberry was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Adkins of Grand
Junction and Elsa Jean Ramsey of Henderson, Nevada; six grandchildren;
15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Stanberry passed
away June 2, 2015 at The
Oaks Assisted Living Facility,
she was 87.
Evelyn was born on March
31, 1928, in Englewood, CO.
from the union of Luther
Vincent and Elvira Hallden
and spent her childhood in
Denver, CO. She later moved
from Denver and previously
lived in Olathe, CO, Montrose, CO, Grand Junction, CO and
Fruita, CO all in a fifty year period.
Evelyn was a homemaker and married Charles Stansberry, he
preceded her in death in June of 2005.
Evelyn was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and The
Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed spending her past time
sewing, crocheting, fishing and camping.
She leaves behind daughters, Charlene Adkins of Grand
Junction, CO; Elsa Jean Ramsey of Henderson, NV; brother,
Frank Vincent of Briggsdale, CO; six grandchildren, 16 great -
grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Charles and
son, George Stansberry.
Graveside services were held at 11:30 a.m., Monday, June 8,
2015 at Martin Mortuary with burial at Grand Junction
Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
