Pearl M. CHATFIELD was born to Hugh and Laura CHATFIELD Feb. 15, 1890 in Ford City, Mo. and came to Gypsum with her parents in infancy.
She spent her childhood in Gypsum and was a member of the first graduating class at Eagle County High School in Gypsum.
She was married to Clarence IDE at Gypsum, and to this union were born two children. She later married Antone JENSEN and lived on Brush Creek near Eagle.
Mrs. JENSEN was active in the organizations to which she belonged, which included Rebekah Lodge 105, the Lutheran Ladies and the Home Demonstration Club at Gypsum.
Mrs. JENSEN passed away in a Glenwood nursing home Jan. 31 following an illness of several months. Funeral services were conducted by Reverend H. C. MOORHEAD in the Gypsum Methodist church Friday afternoon. Crater Rebekah Lodge 105 conducted graveside services in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Gypsum.
Lola CHAMBERS accompanied the male quartet composed of Chester MAYER, Melvin EATON, Wayne RANDALL and Norv MORGAN. The pall bearers were Herman ERICKSON, Art STREMME, Marion BAKER< Art DAVENPORT, Wm. STANLEY and L. D. MULLEN.
The Miller Mortuary of Eagle was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. JENSEN is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dick KELLY of Gypsum and Mrs. James RATHBUN of Hazelton, Idaho; a brother, Ray E. CHATFIELD of Eagle; and a sister Reine PARGINSON of Delta. Seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive.
