Jacob (Jack) Andrew Mudry,
88, died peacefully Saturday,
March 14, 2015 in Chandler,
Arizona. Jack and his twin
brother Nick were born May
10th, 1926 in Detroit, MI.
After high school in
Hamtramck, MI, he enlisted
in the Navy and served on the
LSM90 amphibious vessel.
After the service, he met the love of his life, Agnes. They were
married in Detroit and started their family, later moving to the
Chicago area. He worked as a small machine repairman, and
Sales manager travelling the Far East and Africa. In 1972, he
moved the family to Grand Junction, CO. Jack worked for
Occidental Oil during the oil shale boom of the 1980’s. He then
dabbled in oil, gas and precious metals mining until he retired in
1990. After the passing of his wife of 54 years, he moved to
Arizona in 2004. He enjoyed writing, poetry, billiards, bowling
and playing the lottery. He always said “There is no tomorrow
for old people; enjoy life, spend your money anyway you want”.
Jack is survived by 7 children; Jack, Sue, Cindy, Gary,
Annette, Tim, and Mike; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great
grandchildren. He was loved dearly and will be missed.
