Eduardo Rosendo
Muniz
February 9, 1971 - June 14, 2015
Eduardo "Eddie" "Chendin"
Muniz, was born on February
9, 1971, to Rosendo and Rosa
Muniz in Parral Chihuaha,
Mexico. He came to the
United States at the age of
five, temporarily resided in
Grand Junction, and returned
back to Mexico.
At age 17, he moved back to Grand Junction, and made it his
permanent home.
While living here, he worked at Palisade Orchards for a couple
of years, and later worked at US Sack Factory. At age 24, Eddie
met his love of his life, Peorria, they married June 16, 1995, and
they had three beautiful children, Magdelena "Maggie" (age
19); Alejandra "Allie" (age 17), and Isaac (age 13). He was a
loving, caring, and giving dad, who provided for his family.
In late Summer of 1998, he was lead to the Lord and was
baptized at Grand Valley Baptist Church. Eddie loved the Lord,
he never was ashamed to share the Gospel with strangers, coworkers,
family or friends. He would get very excited and happy
when he lead someone to the Lord.
May 19, 2001, Eddie helped Pastor Barlamant start up
Landmark Baptist Church at White Hall. He was a Sunday
School Teacher for young boys, the Deacon, and Usher. By
2002, Landmark Baptist was moved to Riverside. After a couple
of years, Landmark Baptist was moved to 2711 Unaweep. He
was very much involved in church conferences, activities, and
helped maintain building maintenance. Eddie was the "go to
guy", he never said no.
Eddie and Peorria were divorced and he remarried in August,
2014, to Valerie Page. In late fall of 2014, Eddie’s health started
to decline and he was diagnosed with Neuropathy.
His dream was to have his own landscaping business, he
fulfilled his dream for a short time, but didn’t get to finish.
God heard his prayer and knew how much pain he was in. In
order to give him peace, Eddie went home to be with the Lord
on Sunday, June 14, 2015.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Valerie; children, Maggie, Allie,
Isaac; parents, Rosendo and Rosa Muniz; brothers, Noel (Susie),
and Bryant; sisters, Claudia (Luis) Garcia, and Theresa
(Fernando) Duran; former spouse, Peorria; former mother-inlaw,
Jaunita; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins, and
Abuelita, Juana.
Eddie will be missed by all. We all loved him and now he is
free from pain and suffering.
God Bless you Eddie "Chendin".
Funeral services will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at
Landmark Baptist Church.
