Barbara Ann Henderson Mancuso, 67, Clifton, died July 18,
2015, at HopeWest Care Center.
Services will be at 10 a.m. July 28 at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Service.
Mrs. Mancusco was a retired purchasing agent for a supply company.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy; one son, Rick of Grand Junction; one daughter, Melissa Brownson Madrid of Grand Junction; one brother, Michael Henderson of Grand Junction; two sisters, June Tatum of Grand Junction and Virginia Frame of Montrose; 6 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Barbara Ann Mancuso
November 20, 1947 - July 18, 2015
Barbara Ann Henderson Mancuso, age 67, died on July 18, 2015, at HopeWest Hospice from a continuing respiratory illness. She was surrounded by family and friends when she peacefully passed away.
She was born at home on November 20, 1947, in Clifton, CO. Her Aunt Vada Willoughby assisted. Much of her childhood was spent in Twitty, TX. In 1958 the family moved to Grand Junction where Barbara graduated from Central High School in 1966.
When she was 16 she met her future husband, Jim Mancuso, at the Goofy Gal Drive In in Grand Junction where he was
working with one of her sisters. It was love at first sight and
they were married for 49 and one half years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George William and Opel Mae Henderson of Grand Junction.
She is survived by husband, Jimmy Mancuso; son, Rickey
(Cathy) Mancuso; daughter, Melissa (Mo) (Cory) Brownson
Madrid; six beloved grandchildren; five great-grandchildren;
sisters, June (Jim) Tatum; Virginia (Kris) Frame, and one
brother, Mike (Kathy) Henderson. Barbara also has two
“honorary children”, Cory Shipley of Grand Junction, and
Jeannette Zink of McLouth, KS.
Barbara was very dedicated to and protective of her family and
friends. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary and was
always thinking of and caring for others. The hobbies she
enjoyed throughout her life were twirling, archery, camping and fishing on Grand Mesa and Vega Dam, house boating on Lake Powell and playing a few games of Keno.
Barbara retired after 15 years as a Purchasing Agent at
Refrigeration Hardware Supply in Grand Junction.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at Brown’s Cremation
& Funeral Service, 904 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction, at 10:00
a.m. on July 28. A reception will follow immediately after at
Picture Ranch Club House, 3251 E Road, Clifton.
