Lydia was born in Greeley, CO,
then moved with her family to Loma,
CO, and grew up on the western
slope where she went to
school in Fruita. She was married
three times, the last to the love of
her life, John “Jackie, Poppy” Medina. She loved being a wife,
mother and raising her kids. She enjoyed camping, hunting as
“camp cook” and being in the mountains of Colorado, especially
her brother’s mountain property. She enjoyed her family and all
the time she spent playing cards or visiting with her family at reunions.
Survived by her husband, John “Jackie, Poppy” Medina of
Montrose CO; children, Utah (Sheila) Reiner, Grand Junction,
CO; Monty (Nancy) Reiner, Pueblo, CO; Candy Gonzalez (Daniel
Mintz), Twenty Nine Palms, CA, and John Buskurt; brothers
and sisters, Elsie (Riley) Hale; Shirley (Melvin “Tubby”) Sanderson;
Mary DeJaynes; Patty (Don) Burns, and Daniel (Phyllis)
Montague; grandchildren, Natasha Reiner Fox, Stephanie Gonzalez,
Cody (Jennifer) Diaz, Josh (Jill) Reiner, Travis (Paige)
Reiner, Danielle (DT Carl), Anthony (Sierra) Gonzalez, Albert
Gonzalez, Caitlin Reiner, and Alysha Keeling; greatgrandchildren,
Jesse, Aidan, Talon, Kylee, Ashlynn, Jasper,
Elly, Joseph, and Coulter and too many nieces and nephews to
list.
She was preceded in death by parents, James (Isabella) Montague;
brothers and sisters, Wayne (Jean) Dort, Elaine Flannigan,
Sarah (Kenny Powell), and Frank (Patsy) Montague; daughters,
Judy Keeling, and Kathy Keeling; grandsons and granddaughter,
Dezmond Reiner, Lilly Reiner, and Bladen Gonzalez.
With great appreciation the family would like to thank Hope
West for their support insuring our mother was comfortable in
her last days.

A Memorial Service, in loving memory of Lydia, will be held
Friday, March 27, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Canyon View
Church, 32 North Cedar, Montrose, CO, with Pastor Mike
Childers officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of Crippin Funeral Home &
Crematory, Montrose, Colorado.

Lydia Francis (Montague) Reiner Medina, 71, Montrose,
died March 23, 2015, at her home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Canyon View Church in
Montrose.
She is survived by her husband John “Jackie, Poppy”; three sons,
Utah Reiner of Grand Junction, Monty Reiner of Pueblo, and John
Buskurt; one daughter, Candy Gonzalez of Twenty Nine Palms,
California; one brother, Daniel Montague; four sisters, Elsie Hale,
Shirley Sanderson, Mary DeJaynes, and Patty Burns; 10 grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren.
