FEAR DEATH.
Red Cliff resident Mrs. Johanna Agnes FEAR died October 3, after about 31 months of illness at the Galaxy Nursing Center in Denver, She was 70 years old.
She was born on October 20, 1901, and married Joe Henry FEAR on June 26, 1927, at St. Joseph's Church in Leadville, Colo. She is survived by her husband, who is now retired.
Other survivors include two sons, Joe Anthony FEAR and Lawrence Don FEAR; and three daughters, Mrs. Angela BECK, Mrs. Gloria Henne [sic HENNEN], and Christine FEAR. Other survivors include her brothers, Frank Kilenc [sic KOLENC], Joe Kilenc [sic KOLENC], and Anthony Kilence [sic KOLENC], and a sister, Rose SKALA. In addition, 15 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and an aunt, Mrs. Agnes FAIDIGA, survive.
Mrs. FEAR attended school in Leadville, and was a member of the Woodcraft Lodge and St. Joseph's Lodge. She was a member of St. Joseph's church for 28 years, and of Mt. Carmel Church in Denver [sic Red Cliff].
Funeral services were held on October 6 at St. Joseph's Church; and she was buried in the St. Joseph Cemetery.

JOHANNA AGNES FEAR.
The Rev. George M. SPEHAR celebrated the Mass of the Resurrection in St. Joseph Church for Johanna Agnes FEAR, late of Red Cliff. He was assisted by members of St. Joseph choir.
Attending services in a body were Women of Woodcraft, an organization to which Mrs. FEAR had belonged for many years.
Pallbearers were Anton ZALAR, Anton KRIZMAN, John SKALA, John YUDNICH, Jim SMALICH and Frank KUSS.
Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mrs. FEAR was born in Leadville October 20, 1901 to Johanna Paulic KOLENC and John KOLENC. Her parents preceded her in death.
She was educated in Leadville schools and on June 26, 1927 was married in St. Joseph Church, Leadville to Joe Henry Fear who survives.
The couple made their home in Red Cliff shortly after their marriage when Mr. FEAR became an employee of the New Jersey Zinc Co. He is now retired.
To this union were born five children: Joe Anthony FEAR, Lawrence Don FEAR, Mrs. Angela BECK, Mrs. Gloria HENNEN and Christine FEAR.
She was a devoted housewife and mother and will be sadly missed by her family. She had been seriously ill for the past 31 months and passed away October 3 in the Galaxy Nursing Center in Denver. In addition to her husband and five children she is survived by three brothers, Frank KOLENC, Joe KOLENC and Anthony KOLENC and one sister Rose SKALA. In addition there are 15 grandchildren to mourn her passing and 2 great-grandchildren. An Aunt, Agnes FAIDIGA, also survives.
She belonged to the Woodcraft Lodge and St. Joseph's Lodge.
While in Leadville, she was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph Church and after moving to Red Cliff she was a faithful attendant of Mt. Carmel Church.

Woodcraft Lodge - October 1972

Members of Neighbors of Woodcraft Lodge, Virginia OTTENS, Pearl HENDERSON, and Marie EDWARDS of Kinnikinick Circle #453, Red Cliff; Julia LENARCHIE, Victoria MORGAN, Sophia KALANJ, Zora SKALA, and Olga O'LEARY of Violet Circle #1, Leadville, attended in a body the funeral services of our late Neighbor Johanna Fear who passed away October 3rd. She was a member of Violet Circle but had lived in Redcliff for several years and attended our Circle here. We feel she belonged to us too. Redcliff Circle provided the food for the family dinner after the services. 44 people were served baked ham, several kinds of salads, baked beans, rolls, cake etc. Johanna served on our Guard Team for about forty years. Also on District Guard Teams and District Offices.
