Iman David HARPER was born June 20, 1885 to Nettie ASHLOCK and David HARPER in Aspen, Colo. and passed away in Tempe, Ariz. June 1, 1953.
Mr. HARPER lived nearly all his life in Eagle county and on Nov. 23, 1934 was married to Lois Gilmer BARLOW of Red Cliff. To this union were born five children, one of whom, Orin Wainwright, preceded him in death. One son, Norman, by a previous marriage, was killed on Luzon in May, 1945, during World War II.
Mr. HARPER moved with his family to Tempe several years ago and made his home there until his death. He was buried in East Rest Haven Cemetery in Phoenix, June 6. Rev. Edward MATCHETTE of Buena Park Baptists Church officiated at the services and the Loyal Order of the Mosse, No. 708 of Phoenix, of which he was a member held last rites.
Surviving are his wife, Lois; sons, Bernarad Iman and Lloyd Duane and daughters: Bernadine Louise and Nancy Kay all of the home. Also surviving are two daughters by his former marriage Nettie KLINGENSMITH of Montrose, Colorado, and Maudie DAVIS of Ogden, Utah; two step-daughters Irene RANDALL of Grand Junction and Marcia SCHLEGEL of Gilman; one step-son Albert BARLOW of Butee, Montana; two grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.
Mrs. SCHLEGEL and Mr. BARLOW were in Phoenix for the funeral; Mrs. Jenna BONAR formerly of Red Cliff and Gypsum, and a long-time friend of Mrs. HARPER's was also with her during the funeral.

IMAN HARPER DIED IN TEMPE, ARIZONA.
News was received here this week of the death of Iman HARPER, former Eagle man, at his home in Tempe, Ariz. the first of the week.
Mr. HARPER had been ill of cancer for several years, and his condition critical for the past several months. His step-daughter, Mrs. Marcia SCHLEGEL of Gilman, left to be with her mother, who is the former Lois GILMER of Red Cliff.
