FRED PRICE BURIED IN GYPSUM WEDNESDAY.
Funeral services were held for Fred PRICE, 86, prominent Eagle County man, in Gypsum Wednesday.
Mr. PRICE has been ill for several months, and he died at his home in Gypsum May 21.
Mr. PRICE is survived by his wife, Mayme Stremme PRICE.
Bowman Funeral Chapel was in charge of burial.

Fred Price, veteran sheep man of Gypsum Valley, died at his home in Gypsum May 28 following a long illness. One of 13 children, he was born in Goshen, UT December. 29, 1868 to Martha and William Price. His mother was one of the early pioneer families in UT and her name is engraved on a placard in Temple Square, Salt Lake City. In 1917, Mr. Price came to Colorado and brought the Red Lake Ranch from A.L. Hockett and entered the sheep raising industry in partnership with his brother, the late Byron Price, pioneering in the lower end of Eagle in this industry. He was married to Mayme Stremme, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Stremme, Gypsum merchants, June 12, 1927. Mr. Price was the last survivor of his large family and is survived by his wife and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held in the Gypsum Methodist Church by Rev. Byron Hasstedt. The IOOF Lodge held a service also and vocal numbers were by the male quartet Charles and William Stanley, Marion Baker, and Pete Mullen. Mrs. LeRoy Borah accompanied them on the piano. Pallbearers were Henry (Hank) Knuth, Herman Erickson, LeRoy Borah, Charley Pierce, M.A. Frazier, and Clarence Stephen. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery directed by Bowman Chapel of Eagle.
