Daniel E. Stagmaier of Woodstock died March 15, 2001, in his home. He was 57.

Daniel was born Jan. 25, 1944, in Virginia, Minn., to Dr. Eugene and Muriel (Whiting) Stegmaier. On May 12, 1973, he married Susan C. Petersen in Woodstock.

Daniel was the vice president of Meto Grafics in Cary, Ill. He served as choir director at St. Mary Catholic Church in Woodstock for many years, and director of the 5 p.m. choir at Resurrection Catholic Church in Woodstock and was chairman of the finance council of the church. Daniel also served on the Woodstock policeman's pension board. He worked for the AmCore Bank for 29 years, and ran his own consulting firm, Stagmaier Financial Services.

He is survived by his parents of Tucson, Ariz., his wife, Susan of Woodstock; a son, Paul Stagmaier of Woodstock; a daughter, Anne C. Stagmaier of Woodstock; five brothers, Bill Stagmaier of Dixon, Ill; Tom Stegmaier of Highland, Mich.; Mark Stegmaier of Montera, Calif.; Jim Stegmaier of Steamboat Springs; John Stegmaier of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Sally Croft of Aurora, Minn.; Nina Rudsinski of Catalina, Ariz.; Patty Lappin of Dixon, Ill.

Mass of the Resurrection was celebrated March 24 at the Resurrection Catholic Church, 2918 Country Club Road, with burial in Calvary Cemetery in Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Daniel E. Stegmaier Memory Fund c/o Home State Bank would be appreciated.

Arrangements were made by Schneider-Leucht-Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home in Woodstock, Ill.
