BEN ROCKWOOD DIED IN GRAND JUNCTION TUESDAY.
Benjamin F. ROCKWOOD, resident of Red Cliff for the past 35 years, died in Grand Junction April 24, following an illness of two years.
Funeral services will be held at Martin's Chapel in Grand Junction Friday morning at 10 a.m and interment will be in Adrian, Mich.
Ben ROCKWOOD was born December 4, 1877 to Joseph J. and Carry Mull ROCKWOOD and spent his youth in Michigan. June 15, 1909, he was married at Minturn to Rhoda E. PHILLIPS and has lived in Red Cliff for the past 35 years, employed as hoistman for the Empire Zinc Company at Gilman.
He had been cared for in a nursing home in Grand Junction for the past few weeks, until his death Tuesday morning.
Surviving are his wife of Red Cliff; two daughters, Mrs. Even P. YOUNG, Indianapolis, Indiana; Mrs. Richard HAMMER, Clearfield, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. William F. WEIDERHOFT, Ypsilanti, Mich.; Mrs. Nellie B. CURRY, Flint, Mich.; and one brother, William H. ROCKWOOD, Adrian, Mich. There are three grandchildren.
