Funeral services for Elnora Mae VanHORN [sic] of Glenwood Springs, a former longtime resident of Gypsum, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, at the Gypsum Community United Methodist church.
Mrs. VanHORN died Tuesday, July 18, at the Veterans Nursing Home. She was 84.
Mrs. VanHORN was born Jan. 22, 1905, in Indianapolis, Ind., the daughter of Charles SURBER and Grace SURBER. She was married to Frank VanHORN, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty McKAY.
Mrs. VanHORN was a member of the Gypsum Community United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Crater Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary of Gypsum for more than 50 years.
Surviving are a sister, Essie A. GRINNEWALD of Danville, Ind.; a brother, Charles A. SURBER of Plainville, Ind.; and a son-in-law, James McKAY of Silt.
The Rev. Keith THOMPSON officiated at Friday's funeral services. Burial was at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Gypsum.
Farnum-Richardson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
