Anna Mae Williams of Phippsburg, a long time resident of South Routt, died March 9, 2001 at the Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. She was 82. Anna was born July 26, 1918 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to Mr. and Mrs. Reed. She married Mark L. Williams Nov. 16, 1952 in Boulder. She was a telephone operator for Mountain Bell and was active with the Altar and Rosary Society and choir at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Oak Creek. Anna Mae was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post, 3311 Oak Creek. She loved creating new quilts, wedding cakes and planting and caring for her flowers. She is survived by her husband, Mark Williams; a brother, Thomas Reed of Boulder; and a sister-in-law, Lila Rider of Phippsburg. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Elizabeth; Marian; Marguerite; Helen; and two brothers, Willard and Charles.

The funeral Mass was celebrated March 15, 2001 at the St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. Monsignor George Schroeder and Father Robert Whalen presided. Musicians were Rod Krey and Joann Nayden.
