Austin Lyn Blake died April 8, 2001, at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City. He was 18.
Austin was born June 18, 1982, in Rock Springs, Wyo., to Kirk and Donna (Martin) Blake.
Austin was raised and attended school in Rock Springs and at the time of his death he was a student at Rock Springs High School.
He enjoyed computers, Nintendo, videos and professional wrestling. He is survived by his parents, Donna Blake of Holyoke and Kirk Blake of Rock Springs, Wyo.; a brother, Cody and his fiancee Makenzie Slatcher of Mesa, Ariz.; two grandmothers, Olive Dean Blake of Hayden and Lucille Theis of Craig; two uncles, Steve Blake and wife Holly of Denver and Steven Martin and wife Cindy of Craig; two aunts, Denise Jones and husband Dennis of Craig and Sandra Owens and husband Jerry of Holyoke; and numerous other relatives.
A memorial service was at 2 p.m. April 12, 2001, at Hayden Congregational Church.
Gay Albers was the officiating clergy.
Internment was at the Hayden Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be given in care of Grant Mortuary to United Way of Rock Springs.
