Frankie B. Cruse, 98, of Berthoud, died Nov. 4, 2000, at Berthoud Living Center.
She was born July 15, 1902, in Boulder, to Bruce Beecher Burgess and Mary Elliott Shaw Burgess. She graduated from Steamboat Springs High School.
She married Byron Cruse on July 7, 1947, in Steamboat Springs. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Cruse was a member of Eastern Star Chapter No. 95 in Steamboat Springs, where she participated as organist. She retired as a stenographer for the Colorado Department of Revenue in 1967 and moved to Berthoud from Denver.
While living in Berthoud, she was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as elder and clerk of sessions from 1974 to 1979.
She is survived by a stepdaughter, Cheron Boland and husband Gerald of Lyons; a sister-in-law, Lenny Rauscher of Grand Junction; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a nephew and niece, five grandnephews, three great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews and step-nieces and step-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd McClelland.
There is no visitation scheduled.
Cremation will be conducted.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Berthoud, with the Rev. Rick Underwood officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Berthoud Emergency Unit in care of Howe Mortuary, 439 Coffman St., Longmont, Colo. 80501.
