Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Mr. Perez was an irrigation specialist.
He is survived by his wife Joveta “Jo” Perez; one son David Ray of El Paso, Texas; two daughters, Cinda Valdez of Phoenix, and Patty Afabrizo of Fruita; four sisters, Mary Griffith of Albuquerque,
New Mexico, Georgie Walsh of Aurora, Frances Bellgardt of Grand Junction, and Sophie Goff of Searchlight, Nevada; six grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Charles "Chuck" William Perez
October 11, 1924 - November 30, 2015
Charles "Chuck" William Perez, 91, Grand Junction, passed away November 30, 2015, at home.
Chuck was born on October 11, 1924, to Andy and Ruby Perez in Hotchkiss, CO and was raised in Whitewater, CO. He served in the Army from 1943 to 1945 and reenlisted in Germany until 1947. He served in WWII with the 82nd Airborne Infantry and was in the Battle of the Bulge. Chuck was called back to active duty for the Korean War Conflict where he was an instructor in Mine and Warfare at Fort Leonard Wood, MI. He was honorably discharged in 1951 as a Staff Seargant. He received a 3 Bronze Service Star, Good Conduct Medal, the
European Campaign Medal, and a Purple Heart.
After serving the country, Chuck became owner and operator
of Chuck’s Sprinkler Service in 1962. His business legacy
continues. Chuck was an avid bowler and known to his friends
as "Boom Boom". He loved to work in his yard and in his
garden and spend quality time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, JoVeta Perez; son,
David Perez (Blanca); daughter, Cinda Valdez (Sam), and
daughter, Patty Fabrizio (Steve). He leaves behind six
grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren.
Services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of
Western Colorado on December 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m.
