CHAS. W. DOLL
Chas. W. DOLL died suddenly Wednesday morning, November 30, in Minturn, where he has been employed for the past three years. His death was due to heart trouble, from which he had suffered for sometime, having had several previous attacks.
News of his death came as a shock to Charley's many friends in Gypsum valley who had supposed him to be in excellent health.
Charles DOLL had lived in Eagle county for the past twenty-five years, and by his genial personality won the friendship of all who knew him. Shortly before his death he had expressed a desire to be taken back to his old home in Ohio to be buried, and his wishes were carried out by relatives here, the body being prepared for shipment by Mortician O. W. MEYER of Red Cliff.
The Evening Repository of Canton, Ohio, of December 2, contributes the following concerning Mr. DOLL:
"EX-CANTONIAN SUDDENLY DIES.
"Word has been received in Canton of the death of Chas. W. DOLL, 65, a former Canton resident, who passed away in Minturn, Colo. Mr. DOLL was born in East Greenville and lived in Canton for 35 years , and spent the past twenty-five years in Colorado. He was a member of the Lutheran church. Nimisila lodge of Odd Fellows and Washington Council, Jr., O.U.A.W. Surviving are two brothers, Geo. W. DOLL and John R. DOLL of Spencerville, Ind., and a sister, Mrs. Chas. H. HAMMER of Canton. They body will be brought to Canton and taken to Seesholtz funeral parlors."
Funeral services were held last Tuesday, December 6, at Canton. Mr. DOLL's nearest of kin in Gypsum valley are two uncles, Sam and Franck DOLL, and cousin, Mrs. John FRY.
