FRANK [sic Fred] B. COWDEN, JR.
Fred Burl COWDEN Jr., 70, of Tyler, Texas, died April 24 in Jacksonville, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
Mr. COWDEN was born in Steamboat Springs on June 21, 1910. He had lived in Tyler for the past 20 years.
A member of the Musicians Local 27 in Leadville, he was a veteran of World War II, entering in 1942 in Ft. Logan.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie COWDEN of Tyler; a son, Ronald COWDEN of Tyler; a daughter, Key HOOKER of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Lewis COWDEN of Eagle and Wayne COWDEN of Pleasantville, Calif.; two sisters, Ethel FESSENDEN of San Clemente, Calif. and Lucile LIEBER of Eagle; and two grandchildren.
Interment was April 25 in Flint Cemetery, with Brother Olen BOLES and Brother Louie BARRON officiating. Honorary pallbearers were Musicians Local 27. Arrangements were by Memorial Funeral Home.
