Glenn W. Elkins died July 6, 2000, at the Routt Memorial Extended Care Center in Steamboat Springs. He was 63.
Glenn was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Amonate, W.Va., to Arthur and Margaret (Riddle) Elkins. He married Marilyn Neighbors in Los Angeles on Nov. 2, 1968. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a self-employed truck driver prior to his retirement.
Survivors include a son, Glenn, of Valdosta, Ga.; a grandson, David Patillo, of California; two brothers, Bill and his wife, Yula, of Columbia, S.C., and Carl of Greensboro, N.C.; two sisters, Maggie Anderson and her husband, Ray, of Marana, Ariz., and Claudine Deskins and her husband, Jim, of Tazwell, Va.; and a very dear friend, Diana Halstead, of Steamboat Springs.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; a son, David; three brothers, Ralph, Danny, and Bob; and a sister, Vera.
There will be no funeral services.
Peterson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
