Charles Frederick GILMER, 66, of Minturn, died in Valley View Hospital January 3. Mr. GILMER was a lifelong resident of Eagle County, and was born in Gilman July 20, 1905. He spent his childhood at Gilman and Red Cliff.
His wife, the former Helen RAGLAND, whom he married in Canon City in 1930, survives.
Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery, Red Cliff, following services at the Presbyterian Church in Minturn January 7.
Mr. GILMER was employed as a lift operator at Vail at the time of his death.
He is survived by six sons: Joe of CanonCity; Charles, of Breckenridge; Theodore, Donald, and Richard of Minturn and Michael with the U. S. Army in Vietnam; two daughters: Mrs. Cecil (Bonnie) PLUSH of Denver, and Mrs. Joseph (Etta) TRUJILLO of Minturn. Two sisters, Josephine SQUIRES of Santa Fe, New Mex., and Beth SQUIRES of Red Cliff also survive.
