Eugene E. GODAT 86, died Tuesday May 7, at his home in Sweetwater after a long illness.
He was born Nov. 6, 1904 in Palisade, to Edward and Minervia (Oliver) GODAT. Eugene worked construction and helped build Fitzsimmons Army Hospital and other places in Colorado. He married Fawntella HUNT on October 9, 1940 in Brigham City, Utah. They owned the Hilltop Dude Ranch in Sweetwater from 1946 until 1961 when he retired.
Survivors include: his wife, Fawntella GODAT of Sweetwater; daughter, Dorothy STREHLKE of Arizona; and two granddaughters, Marline PALMER of Florida and Patsy STREHLKE of Arizona.
