Sadie MACDONELL, 89, died April 21, at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.
Mrs. MACDONELL was born Feb. 14, 1899. She was the daughter of Joseph and Melissa Damon HIGGINS [sic FIGGINS] of Adams, Iowa.
She was married October 4, 1921, in Glenwood Springs to Alex MACDONELL. He preceded her in death. Mrs. MACDONELL lived in Glenwood Springs for the past 30 years after moving from Eagle.
She was a member of the Catholic Daughaters of America, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Altar and Rosary Society. She liked to sew and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors are two sons, Alex MACDONELL Jr. of Eagle and George MACDONELL of Carbondale; one daughter, Margaret MORRIS of Glenwood Springs; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. MACDONELL was preceded in death by one daughter, Ethel Mary LATHAM.
Memorial services were Monday at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs. Father Albert BULL officiated.
