Funeral services were held at Miller Chapel in Eagle Tuesday, August 17, for Mrs. Minnie PING who died at her Eagle home August 15.
Minnie WEDMORE was born in Moulton, Iowa October 7, 1879, the daughter of David L. and Elizabeth WEDMORE. In 1898 Mr. WEDMORE moved with his family to Glenwood Springs, Colo., seeking a climate beneficial to his health. He was foreman on the railroad section, and a year after coming to Colorado, moved to Eagle. O. A. PING, a young man employed under Mr. WEDMORE on the railroad in Iowa, joined the family in Eagle in 1900 and in October 1901 married Minnie.
To this union were born two sons and two daughters. Mr. PING passed away September 2, 1954.
The Pings ranched on Eby Creek for many years, and Mrs. PING ran a boardinghouse in Eagle for railroaders and telephone linemen.
She is survived by her children: Leonard and Garnet PING of the home; Ruby DeGRAW of Eagle and Floyd of Salt Lake City; a niece, Barbara PEARCH and a nephew, Frank GLEASON, both of Eagle; eight grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
