Shirley Ann "Shan" PING of Longmont died Wednesday, April 11, at Longmont United Hospital. She was 64.
She was born Sept. 21,1936, to Marvin BORAH and Eva (Daley) BORAH ESTES in Gypsum. On Sept.3, 1955, she married Jim PING in Eagle. In 1972, she moved to Longmont from Eagle.
PING was a supervisor for Centerline Circuits Inc. in Longmont and then SAE Circuits Colorado in Boulder. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Longmont, Second Ward; the American Legion Women's Auxiliary; and Women of the Moose in Longmont.
Her family said she loved reading, spending time with her family and family reunions.
She was preceded in death by her father; a daughter, Candace PING; a brother, Bud BORAH; and a great-grandson, Raymond ROY. Her former husband, Jim, died 11 days after she did.
PING is survived by her mother, of Fruita; three sons: Kirk PING and his wife, Pam, of Longmont, Frank PING and his wife, Michelle, of Longmont, and Shane PING and his wife, Tonya, of Longmont; two daughters: Sandy ROY and her husband, Don, of Berthoud, and Tammy MULLER and her husband, Scott, of Boulder; two sisters: Eileen DOKKEN of Fruita and Elaine DAVIS of Gypsum; Six grandchildren: Jay PING, John PING, Diane WOOD and her husband, Garett, Candace ROY, Rachael PING and Ashley PING; and a great-grandchild, Dylan WOOD.
Funeral services will be held April 17 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1721 Red Cloud Road, Longmont, with Bishop Dennis MORGAN officiating. Interment will take place at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
