PHILLIP [sic Philip] McBREEN DIED IN CALIFORNIA.
Phillip Henry McBREEN, former Minturn man, died Feb. 16 at Sacramento, California, and was buried in Glenwood Springs March 6, with services at St. Stephens Catholic Church and Rev. C. E. KESSLER officiating.
Mr. McBREEN was born in Glenwood Springs January 23, 1897 to Mr. and Mrs. James McBREEN and spent his childhood in Eagle county. He lived on Brush creek on the Tom CARELON ranch and attended the Brush Creek grade school, and moved to Minturn with his parents.
He was a graduate of Barnes Business School in Denver, a member of the Catholic Church, and a railroad fireman by trade. He was a sergeant in the first World War.
Surviving are two sisters, Mary STITT of Denver; Mrs. J. A. MACK of Glenwood Springs; four brothers, Thomas, William, Bernard and Dan all of Minturn. His mother died Feb. 9 of this year.
