DEATH OF BOBBY CHAMBERS.
The community lost a popular young man Thursday, Mar. 30, when Robert CHAMBERS, fourteen-year-old son of Mrs. Ina CHAMBERS, answered death's call.
The young lad, who had made Gypsum and Eagle his home for the past five years, took a prominent part in school and church activities, and held an esteemed place amidst his associates. For the past several months Bobby had suffered with an organic disorder, and about two weeks ago his condition became such that it was necessary to take him to a hospital in Denver, where he passed away on March 30.
Robert Elwood CHAMBERS was born April 22, 1929, at Littleton, and lived in the vicinity of Denver until he was eight years old, when he moved with his family to Paonia. In April, 1939, he accompanied his mother to Gypsum, where he resided until the time of his death. He spent most of his summers in Eagle with his brothers at the Castle Peak Dairy. Robert leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Mrs. Ina CHAMBERS, Gypsum; three brothers, Joseph of Gypsum; Ross and Glenn of Eagle. His father, Elijah C. CHAMBERS, preceded him in death in September, 1930.
Funeral services were held at the Community church in Eagle and he was laid to rest in the Eagle cemetery.
