MRS. A. CHRISTENSEN DIED IN DENVER MONDAY.
STRICKEN WITH PNEUMONIA SHE DIED AFTER ONLY A FEW DAYS ILLNESS-BURIAL IN DENVER WEDNESDAY.
Eagle people were saddened on Monday morning by the news of the death of Mrs. Andrew CHRISTENSEN in the Presbyterian hospital in Denver. She had submitted to a serous major surgical operation early this spring in a Denver hospital, but since her return home several weeks ago, had seemed to be recovering satisfactorily.
Last week, Mrs. CHRISTENSEN, not feeling well, went back to consult her doctor in Denver and was placed in a hospital, where it was found she had contracted pneumonia, and Mr. CHRISTENSEN was sent for. At that time it was thought by the doctors that Mrs. CHRISTENSEN would not live until her husband arrived. She rallied for two days, when death, caused by double pneumonia, came at 11 a.m.,Monday.
Rosary services were in the drawing room of the Olinger Mortuary Tuesday evening, with Requiem mass at the Holy Ghost church on Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. Interment was at the Fairmount Mausoleum, near the boy of her mother, Maydale THOMAS, who passed away two years ago.
Louise Thomas CHRISTENSEN was born in Leadville, and had spent the greater part of her life in Eagle, moving to Eagle with her parents, Judge and Mrs. L. R. THOMAS when she was a small girl. She received a part of her schooling in Canon City, where she attended a Catholic school. She was an accomplished musician, and devoted a great part of her time to music.
Mrs. CHRISTENSEN has a wide circle of friends and acquaintances in the county, and her untimely death will be a source of great sorrow to them.
