FUNERAL SERVICES FOR WILLIAM MIZE.
Funeral services for William B. MIZE, 87, were held at the Moynahan-O'Malia Chapel in Leadville on Friday, Feb. 15.
MIZE died at his home in Salida on Feb. 11 following an illness of 16 months.
He was born on Feb. 27, 1886 in Somerset, Ky. He traveled from Kentucky to Colorado as a young boy, and established residence in Leadville in 1906 He was employed as a teamster for a logging company, and hauled ore in the Leadville vicinity.
MIZE married his wife, Edith, on Oct. 16, 1905 at Aspen. His wife survives him.
Other survivors include sons Harry V. MIZE of Salida and Howard L. MIZE of Hurley, New Mexico; and sister Sarah GROVER of Manhatten, Montana. He is also survived by five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial was at the Riverview Cemetery in Minturn. Pallbearers were Earl PAQUETTE, Darold GREEN, John SKUFCA, Albin JACKSON, Everett WARREN, and Bob WARREN.
