William “Bill” F. Erwin, 68, originally from Hayden and Craig, Co., passed away quietly on May 1st, 2016. Bill was born in Hayden Colorado, on Jan. 6th 1948 to Lemuel and Virginia Erwin. Bill, a lifelong Denver Broncos fan and a resident of Las Vegas, passed away upon hearing the news of the Oakland Raiders potential move to Southern Nevada. We don't blame him. Bill was a caring father, son, and friend. He was a veteran who served in Vietnam. Always concerned with the well being of those he loved, Bill gave up a career in the oil industry, a career which took him to locations such as Norway, Egypt, and Colombia, and moved to Las Vegas to raise his son and have a stable family. There, he started in the concrete industry, and eventually owned and operated several of his own construction companies. He took his work as seriously as he took his vacation, often traveling to Alaska to go deep sea halibut and salmon fishing. He is survived by his son, Will Erwin; mother, Virginia Erwin; and companion of 11 years, Caroline Steveson. He was preceded by his Father, Lemuel.
