JAKE STEIN DIED--TWO WEEKS AFTER WIFE'S DEATH.
Jacob Nikolaus STEIN, 85 of 529 Road 28 1/4, Grand Junction died in a Grand Junction nursing home February 11 two weeks after the death of his wife, Leda.
Mr. STEIN was born at Binger,Germany April 2, 1878. He came to this country in 1895, joining an uncle, Peter STEIN in Gypsum.
He worked on the ranch owned by Doll Brothers in Gypsum Valley for many years.
He was married to Miss Leda BEARDSLEY, a teacher in the Gypsum schools April 6, 1918.
The Steins moved from Gypsum to Glenwood then to Grand Junction because of health a few years ago.
Surviving are a son, Romaine of Grand Junction and a daughter, Mrs. Homer (Helen) HOLT of Glendora, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Gypsum Methodist Church on Thursday with Reverend L. E. COOKE of Glenwood officiating. Burial was in the Gypsum cemetery.
