Allan E. Beavers

Allan Beavers passed away February 26, 2016, at the Aspen Ridge Care Center, he was 90.
Allan was born on January 17, 1926, in Oklahoma from the union of Rufus and Ida Opal Beavers. He spent his childhood in Iowa Park, Texas and later moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where he graduated from high school. Upon graduation he was drafted into the United States Army Air Forces where he trained as a Bombardier. He flew in a B24 aircraft shuttling aircraft from Lowery Air Force Base in Denver, Colorado to California to be shipped overseas. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army Air Forces as a Sergeant after WWII had ended. Allan met Neva Sinner who was on a city picnic with her twin sister in Denver. He and Neva took a boat ride which would lead them on a 60 year journey together. They united in holy matrimony on October 28, 1945 in Walla Walla, Washington. Neva preceded Allan in death on November 16, 2005. Allan was a self-taught engineer, fabricator and inventor. He was the Manufacturing Manager of the Cladrex Corporation, Morrison-Pelsue Company and former Vice-President and cofounder of TA Pelsue Company. Allan founded Timberline Gardens Nursery in Arvada. He was Manufacturing Manager of Grand Enterprises of Grand Junction and helped to co-found MITI Manufacturing in Grand Junction where he was also Manufacturing Manager. Allan lived in Grand Junction since 1986, moving from the Denver area, and was a member of the Church on the Rock. He was known to have a competitive spirit and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and playing pool. In his past-time he would draft new ideas for inventions and from these inspiration several patents were created, one being the popup tent concept, so commonly seen today. Friends and family will always remember Allan’s optimistic nature. When asked how he was, he would reply “Wonderful”. Allan leaves behind his daughter, Diana Fulcher of Grand Junction, Colorado; three grandchildren, Mae, Laura and Brenda, and five great-grandchildren, Ian, Jessica, Makaylee, Kaleb and Joshua. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Neva; sister, Betty and brother, Bill. A visitation time will be held from 6 - 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at Martin Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Martin Mortuary followed by a committal service and military honors at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Allan E. Beavers, 90, Grand Junction, died Feb. 26, 2016, at Aspen Ridge Care Center. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Martin Mortuary. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Interment will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Mr. Beavers was an engineer.
