DeWayne John Aden, 90, Grand Junction, died Feb. 27, 2016, at his daughter’s home.
Services will take place at 1 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
Mr. Aden was a banker and World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Sheldon-Aden; one son, Kennith of Arvada; one daughter, Judi Aden of Grand Junction; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

DeWayne John Aden

Dewayne John Aden was born to John and Ella Aden in Carleton, Nebraska. He graduated from Carleton High School, and was then drafted into the Navy in 1942 where he served on the Battleship Iowa in the Naval Air Evacuation Wing. He was discharged in 1946.
John was married to Bernice Casalini in 1945 until her death in 1997. They had two children, Ken and Judi; grandchildren, Nick and Matt Aden, Brandon and Lucas Howard, and five great-grandchildren. His grandson, Jared Bolton, preceded him in death. He married Beatrice Sheldon in June 1999. She survives.
John moved to Denver in 1955, and worked for Columbia
Savings & Loan until retiring in 1987. Upon retirement, he
moved to Grand Junction, where he enjoyed fishing, RVing, and volunteering with the Elks Lodge 575 and the VA. He was Elk of the Year in 2007-2008. He was also a member of the local Moose Lodge and the Eagles Lodge. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service will be held March 3 at 1:00 p.m. at the
First Presbyterian Church, 3940 27 ½ Road. Interment will
follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hope West
Hospice, 3090B North 12th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81506,
or to First Presbyterian Church.
