JOHN GLENN PASSES AWAY.
Last week E. E. GLENN received the sad intelligence of the death of his brother, John, at his home in San Diego, Calif., the early part of the week. The deceased, who was 76 years of age, had been working steadily at his employment in the publicity department of one of the large parks at San Diego, up to a few days before his death. Not feeling well, he went home from his work February 23, and taking to his bed passed into a state of coma the following day, from which condition he never regained consciousness.
John GLENN came to Eagle county and Fulford in 1892, and was prominent in the mining activities of that camp for three or four years, going from here to the west coast where he has since resided. He has frequently since visited his brother and other friends here, and always maintained a keen interest in the Fulford mining district. Many of the older residents here remember the deceased kindly and will be sorry to learn of his demise.

JOHN N. GLENN.
We take the following clipping from the San Diego Museum Bulletin, house organ of the San Diego (Calif.), Museum Association. It concerns a former citizen of Fulford and Eagle,a brother of our fellow townsman, E. E. GLENN. John GLENN lived at Fulford during the camp's mining activity, when hundreds of men were employed there, and it was a postoffice with a a regular stage service between Eagle and Fulford. He was one of the camp's most active citizens for several years.
"It is with profound regret that we announce the death of Mr. John N. GLENN, who has been a member of the staff of the San Diego Museum for fourteen years; first, as the custodian of the California building, and then in the capacity of preparator, during the past six years.
"Mr. GLENN was born in Jeromeville, Ohio, in 1858 [Findagrave says 1857], and while still a young man, became actively interested in archaeological matters. Living in the sphere of the Mound Builders' civilization, he eventually got together a a large and comprehensive collection of the implements characteristic of this culture, which he generously donated to the San Diego Museum. After moving to California, he kept up his archaeological pursuits by working with the living Indians of southern California and making a collection of Diegueno Indian artifacts on his own time and at his own expense. About this nucleus and with his personal aid,our large and important exhibit of aboriginal California cultures was built.
"Although these collections stand as an existing tribute to John N. GLENN's generosity and diligence, his unusually developed qualities of kindness, equanimity and loyalty will be those things that his co-workers and friends will remember first and forever."
