ANOTHER OLD TIMER GONE.
After a long illness, George MACHIN died at his home on Sweetwater creek Tuesday evening at 8 oclock. Mr. MACHIN was 84 years old, and was one of the pioneers of the west. He lived for a long time in Arizona before going to Aspen in the early days of that mining camp. He came to Sweetwater some forty-odd years ago, and settled on the ranch where he died. He engaged in the cattle business and conducted a fishing resort, until poor health forced him to retire five or six years ago.
He had been bedfast for most of the time the past two years, and recently his health had been so poor that his death was not unexpected.
Funeral arrangement will not be made until the arrival of his son, George, from Sacramento, Calif. He is survived by another child, Mrs. Harve SKIFF of Gypsum.
