CLAUDE ORR.
Claude Clarence (Buster) ORR was born in Gypsum on Sept. 11, 1923 to Robert C. and Violet J. ORR.
He grew up in Gypsum attending both elementary and High School there. He graduated from Eagle County High School in the spring of 1942 and joined the Navy in November 1942. He received a medical discharge from the Navy and returned to Gypsum.
He was united in marriage to Hazel STOUT on September 24, 1943 and to this union six children were born. One son Buster Dale, and 5 daughters Judy Ann, Rita Kaye, Donna Jo, Debra Lu and Patty Sue.
Buster spent five years in Minturn working as a fireman for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad. He and his family returned to Gypsum in 1949 and he was employed on the County Road Crew for nine years. At the time of his death he was employed by the town of Gypsum, as town Marshall.
Besides his wife and children he leaves behind his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bob ORR of Gypsum, one sister and brother-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Vince WALSH and their family of Carbondale, his mother- and father-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Fred STOUT, six brother-in-laws and three sister-in-laws, besides numerous aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins.
