JOHN C. MATHER
Funeral services were held Mar. 20 at the Kremmling Community Church for John C. MATHER, who died Friday, March 17 in the Middle Park Hospital, Kremmling. Mr. MATHER had been in poor health for some time, but in the hospital only a week prior to his passing.
John Caldwell MATHER, son of John and Sarah McPhee MATHER, was born on the Sheephorn March 15, 1887 and lived there his entire life until he retired from ranching in 1956 and moved to Kremmling.
He attended school on Sheephorn. His first wife, Ivah Strobridge MATHER, passed away in 1927. On September 21, 1933 he married Amanda Pearl ROWLAND at Hot Sulphur Springs. He was a rancher and stockman, raising registered and commercial cattle.
His only son, John, preceded him in death March 17, 1950. He is survived by his wife, Pearl; grandson, John A. MATHER of Dillon; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret BLAKESLEY of Thermopolis, Wyo., and Mrs. John (Martha) McGEE of Grass Creek, Wyo.
The Reverend Kenneth POST officiated at the funeral. Carl and Ray BREEZE, accompanied by Mrs. Carl BREEZE at the organ sang two numbers. Interment was in the family plot in the Sheephorn cemetery with Mount Wolford Lodge No. 163, AF & AM of which Mr. MATHER was a member, conducting graveside services. Pall bearers were Henry YUST, Lee BROWN, Harry JONES, Carl LOMAX, Mark CURRY and Earl NATION. Honorary pall bearers were Heny [sic Henry] HINTON, Leon LEROUX, Charles FREE, Clyde EDMONDSON and D. O. JOHNSON.

SERVICES MONDAY--FOR LIFE LONG, by Ione JACOBS.
Kremmling was shocked and saddened by the death Friday of John C. MATHER, lifelong resident of the Sheephorn and Kremmling.
Mr. MATHER, who was 74years of age on March 15th, passed away at three o'clock Friday at Middle Park hospital where he had been a patient for the past week after having been in poor health for some time.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Kremmling Community Church with Reverend Kenneth POST officiating.
Carl BREEZE and Ray BREEZE accompanied on the organ by Mrs. Carl BREEZE sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock of Ages."
Interment was in the family plot in the Sheephorn Cemetery with Mount Wolford Lodge No. 163, A.F. & A.M., of which Mr. MATHER was a member, officiating at the graveside services.
Pall bearers were Henry YUST, Lee BROWN, Harry JONES, Carl LOMAX, Mark CURRY and Earl NATION. Honorary pall bearers were Henry HINTON, Leon LEROUX, Charles FREE, Clyde EDMONDSON and D. O. JOHNSON.

His only son, John, preceded him in death March 17, 1950. He is survived by his wife, Pearl, grandson John A. MATHER of Dillon; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Blakesley of Thermopolis, Wyoming, Martha (Mrs. John) McGEE of Grass Creek, Wyoming and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
