MRS. A. L. MULNIX BURIED AUGUST 7 IN GYPSUM [sic burial in Glenwood Springs; funeral in Gypsum]
Funeral services were conducted August 7, by Rev. Paul A. SHIELDS in the Gypsum Methodist church for Mrs. A. L. MULNIX, who passed away at her home in Gypsum Thursday morning, following an illness of five months.
Cora LEWIS was born in Waco, Tex., October 8,1871, and was 76 years of age at the time of her passing. The greater part of her girlhood was spent in Texas, Oklahoma and Mississippi and in 1898 she met and married Albert L. MULNIX at Red River, New Mexico. A short time after their marriage the couple moved to Woodland, Colo., and lived in different parts of the state until in 1920, when they moved to Gypsum, where they have lived since.
To this union were born four sons and three daughters. The first born, a son, died in infancy.
Surviving are her husband, A. L. MULNIX, three sons, Frank of Fort Collins; Harold of Fowler, and Stanley of Gypsum; three daughters, Gladys WILLIAMS of Cebu, Philippine Islands, Edna WHITE of Denver and Pauline MULNIX of Gypsum, and nine grandchildren. All of the children were present for the funeral except Mrs. Williams in the Philippines.
During the services Claire LUNDGREN, accompanied on the piano by Mrs. LeRoy BORAH,sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," and "Under His Wings." Interment was made in Rosebud cemetery in Glenwood Springs, and pall bearers were LeRoy BORAH, Art STREMME, Willis STAUP, George HARRIS, Henry JULEN, Marion BAKER.
